What the app does

EmbedReady helps Shopify merchants prepare for the end of script tags on March 1, 2027. It lists the script tags loaded on the merchant's storefront, matches them to the apps that added them, and shows which app embeds are turned off in the published theme.

Data we process

• Store information: store domain and an access token issued by Shopify at installation.
• Scan results: the addresses of scripts loaded on the public storefront, the app each one belongs to, and the on/off state of app embeds in the published theme's settings.
• If the storefront is password protected and the merchant enters the storefront password to run a scan, the password is used for that single request and never stored.
• For stores on the Pro plan: the store's contact email address, provided by Shopify, used only to send the weekly check email until March 1, 2027.

EmbedReady does not access or store any customer, order or product data, and it does not change the merchant's theme.

Where data is stored

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database in the United States (AWS us-east-2), used by our application servers in the same region. Connections use HTTPS and encrypted database connections.

Service providers that process data on our behalf, each under its data processing agreement (with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU): Netlify (application hosting, United States), Neon (database, United States), Resend (delivery of the weekly Pro email, EU region), Shopify (the store platform and billing).

Retention and deletion

• Scan results are kept while the app is installed so the merchant can compare scans.
• When a merchant uninstalls the app, all store data, including the store's email address, is deleted immediately. We also honour Shopify's privacy webhooks (shop erasure within 48 hours of uninstall).

Your rights

Merchants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by contacting us at support@restockrelay.app.
